The Apostle Paul explained that we should pray and petition the Lord on behalf of all people, rulers, and those in authority so that they may learn to know the Lord and we can all live in tranquility and dignity.
1 Timothy 2:1-4:
“First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, even for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. Such prayer for all is good and welcome before God and Savior, since He wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Today we are living in a cultural wake of political fighting, corporate greed, and media infiltration of perversion. Who do we believe? What company should we avoid? Where can we find good clean entertainment without a perverse agenda? These are examples of the many questions that haunt us. But even a more pressing question is: What can we do about it?
Paul’s challenge is to pray for those in authority. We have heard this before … But have we really grasped the context of Paul’s challenge? This prayer is not for regime changes, corporation implosions, or media elimination, it is that that those in authoritative positions are awakened to knowing the truth of our Lord and Savior.
Grasp the freedom in this prayer. It is simple, in line with God’s desire for all humanity, and relinquishes us of the burden of resolution. What can we do? Pray that all in authority will have an awaking and understanding of the Lord God. The solution is the Lord’s, He will answer that prayer His way.
Romans 14:11
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give praise to God.”

Mark, you are so right, and duh… pray and let God have the rest!
