Eyes to See

It is time that God’s people, who are faithfully and patiently waiting for Him to strike, see His glory and the army of angels that are fighting against evil.

In 2 Kings 6:11-18 we have the great documentation of the event when the king of Aram sent an army to kill Elisha. The army of Aram surrounded the city where Elisha was staying. In the morning Elisha’s servant saw the army and reported the situation to Elisha. Elisha’s response to the servant, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Elisha then prays, “O Lord. I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the servant saw the horses and chariots of fire surrounding and protecting Elisha. Elisha then prays to the Lord, “Strike the people (Aram’s army) with blindness.”

Today’s prayers:

O Lord, give Your people the eyes and awareness to see Your glory and the heavenly arsenal that is battling evil in this world. That we do not fear because of Your great name.

O Lord, blind the evil people so they make mistakes, trip up, fall, and run into the traps set for them.

O Lord, make Your name great so Your people will honor You forever.
